Held at San Lorenzo County Park in King City, people gathered to see old friends and make new ones. During get away days, people visited Monterey, the National Steinbeck Center, Pinnacles National Monument and Mission Soledad. The weather was kind, except for a stiff breeze during the final days. Touring the Agricultural Museum in the Park San Lorenzo Park includes an Agricultural Museum and a museum telling the story of irrigation in the central valley. In addition to farm equipment, there is a chuck wagon (center) and one of the original school houses of the area. And, of course, someone didn't do their homework and ended up with the dunce cap. Morning Hike Suzanne led a morning hike to the Salinas River which included an informal stone skipping competition. Workshops Karen taught fire building. Irene showed how to make a first aid kit in an Altoid tin. She also taught folks to play the harmonica, and Billie taught line dancing. Irene also taught the ukulele and Jan led the group in another successful woodworking project. Karen toured camp showing cool ideas, people assembled a first aid kit in a breath mint tin and Cherie led a session on identifying what an owl had eaten by examining pellets.
