Sierra Foothills Chapter of Camping Women

The Sierra Foothills chapter  has many outdoor activities planned and in the planning stages. Camping is just one of the activities we enjoy. We hike, bike, raft, ski, do orienteering, and welcome other women who enjoy these kinds of activities.

Columbia College Scholarship - Leah Cornelssen is this year's recipient of the $300 scholarship. 

Ongoing Activities

  • Chapter meetings are now on the Fourth (4th) Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm at the Pine Tree Restaurant on the north corner of Hess and Hwy. 108.
  • Game night - Every other Wednesday night at 5:30 pm at Angie's house.  Bring your beverage and a dish to share.  RSVP to Angie at awulfow@yahoo.com.
  • Mexican Train - 1:00 pm - January 14th is the next one.  RSVP to Carol at carolmhogan@comcast.net.  

The chapter has ongoing fund raising activities.  One of the projects is a scholarship for a woman attending Columbia College and pursuing studies related to the out doors and environment.

December

10 - Annual Christmas Party - 1:00 pm - Gift exchange, pot luck.  Contact Donna at dholstrom@fastmail.net.

16-18  - Sandhill Cranes - Cheryl and Lori have reserved 2 cabins at the B&W Resort.  Capacity for 12 women.  They are hoping to fill this event to keep costs down.  Contact Cheryl at cher005@aol.com.

2012

January

1 - New Years Day Hike - Walk Serpentine Road in the Red Hills.  RSVP to Mary at field722@comcast.net.

9-11 - Cirque de Soile - Sacramento - We will stay in a hostel.  The show is on the 10th.  Contact Lori at alalorey@yahoo.com.

17-19 - Lake Comanche Cabin Trip - Currently the trip is full.  You can come up for the day.  Contact Mary at field722@comcast.net.
